Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an AI Engineer III to join the Blue Ring software team. You will develop AI/ML capabilities embedded in Blue Ring’s ground system, spanning multi-agent monitoring, anomaly detection, retrieval augmented generation, and AI-assisted decision-making for an on-orbit fleet.

You’ll work with AWS, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines, delivering production-grade AI services with observability and safety in mind.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with AI/ML in production.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one AI/ML framework (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Hands-on experience building and deploying multi-agent systems, agentic AI workflows, or LLM-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and iterate on AI/ML systems that serve as the intelligence layer for satellite fleet operations.
• Translate system designs into production-ready implementations and contribute to platform evolution.
• Develop and deploy multi-agent systems coordinating telemetry analysis, anomaly detection, flight dynamics, and mission planning.
