Job summary

Thomson Reuters in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI, to build AI-driven software for professionals through CLEAR. You will design multi-component pipelines, RAG architectures, and autonomous agents as part of scalable backend and frontend features.

The role requires 5+ years of software engineering and hands-on AI/ML experience, with Java/Spring Boot, React, Python, and cloud-native tools.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering, with 5+ years in software engineering and 2+ years building production AI/ML features.
• Proven track record delivering AI-enabled software across lifecycle: discovery, architecture, deployment, and metrics.
• Strong Java/Spring Boot backend experience; modern frontend (React/Angular/Vue); RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Proficiency in Python and AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch/TF/JAX); experience with MLOps/LLMOps.
• Hands-on with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform; able to integrate AI models via APIs and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-driven enterprise systems with RAG architectures.
• Collaborate across teams to translate requirements into scalable software.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to MLOps practices.
• Ensure security, reliability, and observability of AI services.
• Deliver production-grade APIs, gateways, and web UIs.
