Job summary

Talentify in San Diego, CA is seeking a Software Engineer to design and build AI agents, autonomous systems, and conversational AI solutions. You will translate business needs into scalable, production-grade AI applications and contribute across the stack.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of Python and PyTorch experience, hands-on work with RAG and search/index components, and familiarity with LangChain/LlamaIndex.

Qualifications

• 6+ years Python for AI/ML development
• 6+ years PyTorch experience or willingness to learn
• Experience applying AI agents to real-world problems
• Hands-on chatbot/voice-system development experience
• Knowledge of RAG system components and prompt engineering
• Familiarity with major LLM providers and trade-offs
• Understanding of transformer architectures and attention
• Experience integrating AI into applications or eagerness to learn
• Full-stack development across backend and frontend
• Cloud software development with microservices

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI agents and autonomous systems for complex tasks
• Build conversational AI solutions including chatbots and voice interfaces
• Create AI-powered application integrations across platforms
• Develop and optimize RAG systems for performance
• Implement and optimize ML models with PyTorch
• Evaluate and select LLMs balancing accuracy, latency and cost
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into AI solutions
• Architect and maintain production-grade AI systems for scalability and reliability
