Job summary
Credence in St. Louis is seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI-driven solutions for federal clients. You will lead generative AI/LMM initiatives, own agentic AI lifecycles, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable capabilities.
The role emphasizes engineering rigor, mentorship, and DevSecOps practices, with IaC and cloud deployments. You’ll guide technical direction, review code, and apply responsible AI methods to produce
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field.
- 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience delivering AI/ML/LLM-powered solutions.
- Experience building generative AI applications with LLMs, tool calling, and retrieval-augmented generation.
- Experience designing agentic AI solutions using Agent2Agent Protocol, Bedrock Agents, Mastra, CrewAI, LangChain, or LangGraph.
- Strong knowledge of AI APIs and platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Amazon Bedrock, Vertex AI).
- Proficiency in TypeScript with libraries like Nx, Next.js, Mastra, Vercel AI SDK, Playwright, Jest, and Vite.
- Python proficiency with libraries such as uv, Pydantic, FastAPI, CrewAI, LangChain, LangGraph, Unstructured.
Responsibilities
- Generative AI & LLM Solution Delivery: design, develop, prototype, and refine AI-powered capabilities.
- Agentic AI System Development: own end-to-end agentic AI lifecycles (model selection, tool calls, deployment).
- Senior Software Engineering Leadership: build maintainable, testable, scalable systems; code reviews and patterns.
- Cross-Functional Technical Collaboration: work with data engineers/scientists, cloud engineers, stakeholders.
- Cloud Enablement & DevSecOps Integration: IaC, CI/CD, containers, cloud services.
- Production Monitoring & Optimization: post-deploy monitoring, performance tuning, reliability improvements.
- Technical Rigor & Documentation: clean, well-documented code; reproducible development.
- Technical Mentorship & Continuous Improvement: stay current and mentor teammates.
