Job summary

Invisible Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer in the New York area. You will own end-to-end AI projects, prototype workflows, and deploy scalable systems on our platform while interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The role blends AI engineering, software development, and technical consulting with a preference for hands-on model work. You must be based in the Greater NYC area and comfortable in-office 3-4 days weekly.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including data, ML, or backend systems
• Deep proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in ML/LLM ecosystems
• Experience with deployment patterns, Docker, APIs, and cloud environments (GCP/AWS)
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration, pub/sub (Kafka), and data governance processes
• Strong communication and client-facing skills; able to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science/CS or equivalent professional experience

Responsibilities

• Scope technical solutions with delivery leaders
• Prototype AI workflows and deploy scalable systems on top of Invisible products
• Design and implement AI-powered workflows using LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval systems
• Translate real-world constraints into robust engineering solutions
• Iterate quickly based on real-time feedback from operators and clients
• Build reusable tooling and infrastructure for future deployments
