Job summary

Bartech Staffing is seeking a Senior AWS Software Engineer to design, build, and optimize AI-enabled systems in a data-centric environment. You will collaborate across teams, using the AWS development stack and Terraform to automate infrastructure, APIs, and data pipelines.

You’ll write clean Python code, mentor teammates, and translate AI concepts into actionable deliverables while staying current with Agentic AI development and security best practices.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree OR High School/GED in Information Systems related discipline, plus 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience as a Senior AWS Software Engineer with Python, Terraform, AWS Glue, Lambda, and API development.
• Experience in a data-centric environment and managing multiple responsibilities.
• Experience with Agentic AI development and AI-driven solutions.
• Must meet the Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810 requirement.

Responsibilities

• Design and build complex AI-enabled software solutions using Agile, XP, and TDD.
• Develop scalable applications and APIs leveraging AWS services and Terraform.
• Write efficient Python code for AI workflows and cloud integrations.
• Collaborate with data engineers, product owners, and developers to deliver solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and participate in code reviews.
• Translate AI concepts into user stories and technical deliverables.
• Optimize data pipelines and cloud integrations.
• Provide guidance on AI architecture, sustainability, and security.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies, including Agentic AI development.
