Job summary

Truist seeks an AI Security Engineering Lead who secures the organization's AI adoption across the enterprise, including generative AI and agentic technologies. This senior technical leader partners with engineering, product, governance, and cybersecurity teams to drive secure design and deployment readiness for AI-enabled applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in security engineering or related cybersecurity roles.
• Deep specialized knowledge in cybersecurity principles, theories, and concepts.
• Extensive experience in software development lifecycle security practices.
• Expertise in threat modeling, security testing, and penetration testing.
• Proven experience implementing and managing complex information security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and design assessments for AI-enabled applications and platforms.
• Define secure design patterns and reference architectures for generative AI and agentic systems.
• Establish and evolve AI security standards and guardrails across the enterprise.
• Design, implement, configure, and validate security controls for AI-enabled solutions.
• Build AI security capabilities including access controls, logging, monitoring, and deployment controls.
• Partner with engineering teams to implement secure tool calling, data retrieval, and external integrations.
