Job summary

Littler, the world’s leading employment and labor law firm, seeks an AI Senior Security Engineer to build and operate the firm’s AI security capability. The role combines hands-on assurance with governance and enablement to help the business adopt AI safely while protecting sensitive information and maturing AI controls.

The position is hybrid and can be resident in multiple U.S. offices with onsite visits; salary ranges are provided and bonuses are possible based on performance and geography.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• CISSP, CISM, or CCSP certifications.
• ISO/IEC 42001 lead implementer/auditor or AI security/governance certification.
• Cloud security certifications relevant to primary providers.

Responsibilities

• AI/ML security engineering and assurance: maintain inventory and threat model for AI systems; assess AI systems for prompts, model extraction, insecure outputs, and supply-chain risk; implement guardrails for AI access, monitoring, and logging; embed secure MLOps across the AI lifecycle.
• AI security governance and controls: protect prompts, embeddings, logs, and third-party models; tune DLP and posture controls; define standards for AI access and content handling.
• AI governance, risk, and compliance: establish AI governance aligned to NIST RMF and ISO/IEC 42001; run AI risk reviews; produce AI control evidence for audit and leadership.
• Innovation and enablement: evaluate emerging AI security capabilities and advise on adoption; guide AI security roadmap; create patterns for safe AI use.
• Leadership and collaboration: act as the firm’s AI security SME; partner with Legal, Privacy, Risk, Engineering; support incident response and control failures.
