Job summary

WRITER is seeking a Staff Detection and Response Engineer to defend our AI infrastructure, training data, and model deployments. You will design detections, automate responses, and coordinate incident handling across multiple teams while advancing security for scalable AI platforms.

You will partner with AI Security, Cloud Infrastructure, and Software Security Engineering to protect one of the industry's most valuable AI systems and lead efforts to detect adversaries targeting distributed

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in security operations, detection engineering, or incident response in AI/ML environments.
• Ability to build detections and automate responses across cloud and distributed systems.
• Experience securing high-value AI/ML infrastructure and HPC environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-specific threat detections across distributed infrastructure.
• Create automated response playbooks and self-healing security workflows.
• Coordinate incident response across Cloud, AppSec, Enterprise, and AI Security teams.
• Hunt for threats in GPU clusters and training environments and improve visibility.
• Develop detection-as-code with version control and dashboards for security metrics.
