Job summary

Waters Corporation is seeking a Principal AI Security Analyst to lead security for AI/ML systems across the organization. You will steer threat modeling, manage AI security tooling, and drive defenses against adversarial AI threats in a high-visibility role.

You will collaborate with ML engineering and product teams to embed security from design through production, align with EU AI Act and NIST RMF guidelines, and mentor junior staff while shaping the AI security program.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years focused on AI/ML security.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks AIRS or AI Access Security.
• Proficiency in Python; ability to review model code and ML pipelines.
• Experience with threat modeling frameworks (STRIDE, PASTA, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end threat modeling for AI and ML systems, including LLMs and inference infrastructure.
• Administer and tune AIRS to detect and block adversarial inputs in real time.
• Manage AI Access Security policies and data loss prevention rules.
• Integrate an AI gateway layer for rate limiting and observability across LLM API traffic.
• Research defenses against adversarial attacks and lead red-team exercises.
• Define and maintain security standards and controls for AI model development.
• Partner with ML engineering and product teams to embed security requirements from design to production.
• Evaluate third-party AI tools for supply-chain and data handling risks.
