Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Senior or Staff AI Scientist to translate advanced AI into surgical and perioperative care applications. You will work with surgeons, researchers, and enterprise teams to design, validate, and deploy multimodal models using video, imaging, signals, EHR, and patient-reported data.

The role emphasizes responsible AI, clinical validation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration across data engineering, ML, software, and clinical operations to deliver scalable solutions.

Formación

• PhD in a quantitative field.
• Advanced ML/deep learning expertise with strong experimental design.
• Proficiency in Python and modern DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX).
• Experience with real-world data and clinical collaboration.
• Effective communication across clinicians, researchers, and engineers.
• Strong independent problem-solving and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and validate ML models for surgical, perioperative, clinical, and operational applications.
• Advance computer vision, multimodal learning, generative AI, predictive modeling, and real-time clinical decision support.
• Develop ML systems using surgical video, medical imaging, physiologic signals, EHR data, and patient-reported outcomes.
• Create methods to recognize surgical phases, anatomy, instruments, events, workflow, and OR state.
• Translate clinical needs into technically rigorous projects with validation plans and success metrics.
