Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Seattle is seeking AI/ML scientists to model customer behavior at TB scale, building GenAI/LLMs, and optimizing Prime personalization. You will partner directly with product owners to intake, build, and apply modeling solutions.

There are numerous scientific and technical challenges, including reinforcement learning of the customer journey, scalable data analyses, and publication/patent opportunities within Prime, our central science team.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's degree with six+ years of applied research experience.
• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business applications.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Stay abreast of current literature and develop novel science solutions leveraging state-of-the-art methods.
• Build and develop AI/ML models and supporting infrastructure at TB scale with software teams.
• Leverage Deep Learning and GenAI for foundation models and personalized optimization.
• Develop offline policy estimation tools and integrate with measurement/econometric models.
• Establish scalable, automated processes for large-scale data analyses, science development, validation and model implementation.
• Analyze historical data to automate and optimize key processes and inform business decisions.
• Collaborate with business to understand problems and identify opportunities.
• Use AI/ML, data mining, statistical techniques to create actionable, scalable solutions.
• Design, develop and evaluate innovative models to understand and predict customer behavior.
