As a Principal Applied Scientist, you will be the intellectual engine behind this transformation, defining the frontier and driving the roadmap for a large organization across Prime and Amazon.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on work in predictive modeling and analysis.
• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Experience distilling informal customer requirements into problem definitions and dealing with ambiguity.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience leading experienced scientists and mentoring junior members.

Responsibilities

• Define the frontier and architect the science strategy for a large cross-cutting organization.
• Drive breakthroughs that reshape how Prime thinks about customers and membership.
• Pioneer Gen AI/LLM-based foundation models to build rich, evolving models of user intent.
