Job summary

SAP SE is seeking a Data Scientist/Knowledge Engineer to advance the semantic foundation of SAP's AI. You will design ontology layers, build grounding pipelines, and leverage enterprise data to power accurate AI agents across business domains.

You will collaborate across product, engineering, and customer teams, deploying GenAI and ML models in production on cloud platforms, Databricks and SAP datasphere.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in knowledge engineering, semantic data systems, applied AI, or data science.
• Advanced degree in CS, mathematics, statistics, engineering or related fields.
• Experience designing enterprise ontologies and semantic models; familiarity with graph stores and RDF/Property Graphs.
• Hands-on with GenAI, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and enterprise grounding.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with ML libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn.
• Experience deploying AI/ML in production with lifecycle support and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with Databricks or equivalent and at least one major cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management in agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise ontologies and semantic models for AI agents.
• Build RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, and grounding for SAP agents.
• Develop AI capabilities using business data, knowledge graphs, and structured/unstructured data.
• Ground AI solutions in SAP data models, metadata, and business processes end-to-end.
• Collaborate across product, engineering, and customer teams from concept to deployment.
• Apply ML/DL and statistical modeling to real-world enterprise datasets.
