Job summary

SAP is seeking an accomplished AI/ML leader to shape the semantic data foundation for SAP's AI agents. You will partner with product, engineering, and business teams to design scalable AI solutions that leverage SAP data models and ontologies.

The role emphasizes production-ready ML, data preprocessing, and collaboration across cloud platforms, data governance, and enterprise knowledge graphs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related quantitative fields.
• 10+ years of experience in ML, DL, AI, LLMs with hands-on model development.
• 10+ years in ML/data science/AI/semantic data systems in industry or research.
• Strong Python and SQL, with PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn.
• Experience deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments.
• Experience with Databricks and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent communication and collaboration in agile environments.
• Deep knowledge of SAP data models and core business processes.

Responsibilities

• Build AI and semantic data solutions using SAP master data domains, models, and APIs.
• Design and maintain enterprise ontologies and semantic models for data interoperability.
• Work with cloud/data platforms (Databricks, SAP Datasphere, HANA Cloud, AWS/Azure/GCP) to support AI workflows.
• Translate ambiguous business challenges into concrete AI use cases and designs.
• Develop end-to-end ML/AI solutions from data preprocessing to deployment and lifecycle support.
• Apply advanced ML, deep learning, and data mining techniques to enterprise problems.
• Develop AI capabilities including generative AI and LLM-based solutions using enterprise data.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, business, and customer-facing teams for scalable solutions.
