Job summary

SAP is advancing AI with a strong focus on knowledge engineering and semantic data systems. As a Data and Applied Scientist, you will build the semantic foundation for SAP's AI agents using enterprise data, knowledge graphs, and business processes.

You will design ontologies, implement RAG pipelines, and work across Databricks, SAP Datasphere, and major cloud platforms to deploy scalable AI solutions in production.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience designing enterprise ontologies and semantic models.
• Proficiency in graph query languages (SPARQL, Cypher, or GQL).
• Experience with GenAI systems, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic retrieval.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Proven track record deploying and operating AI/ML solutions in production.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain ontologies and semantic models for enterprise AI.
• Build AI capabilities including RAG pipelines and embeddings.
• Develop AI solutions using enterprise data, knowledge graphs, and business data.
• Collaborate with cloud platforms (Databricks, SAP Datasphere, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Partner with product and engineering teams from concept to deployment.
