Job summary

Moderna seeks an experienced cybersecurity professional to design, execute, and evolve adversarial simulations across digital, lab, and manufacturing environments. You will build end-to-end offensive campaigns, including recon, exploitation, and post-exploitation, collaborating with IR, threat intel, and detection engineering.

The role emphasizes offensive tradecraft to inform durable defenses, with a 70/30 in-office work model and equity-tied incentives.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in cybersecurity with red teaming or adversary simulation experience.
• Experience with end-to-end attack chains including initial access, lateral movement, and exfiltration.
• Strong knowledge of network penetration testing, AD exploitation, cloud attacks (Azure/AWS/O365), and AI-system attacks.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document full-spectrum red team operations across digital, physical, and hybrid environments.
• Develop and maintain offensive toolchains and infrastructure for covert operations (C2 frameworks, payload obfuscation, cloud staging).
• Conduct external-to-internal attack simulations and measure security efficacy.
• Collaborate with detection and IR to improve time-to-detect and containment.
• Build scripts/exploits using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Go to simulate attacker TTPs.
• Lead debriefs with IR/Threat Intel to derive new detections and controls.
• Contribute to red team maturity and continuous testing programs.
• Translate offensive results into durable defenses and playbooks.
