Job Description

CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Senior AI Programmer to join our team in the US / Canada to work on Cyberpunk 2, the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. In this role, you will help develop believable worlds by creating systems and features that support our designers in crafting advanced AI behaviors.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with designers and developers to understand their needs and enable the creation of smart, efficient AI systems.
• Build and maintain core systems that define AI behavior in an open-world environment.
• Develop debugging and designer tools for these systems.
• Write high-quality, optimized, bug-free code aligned with project goals.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration to ensure tools effectively contribute to all game systems.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 7 years of professional programming experience in the gaming industry.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and familiarity with Unreal Engine.
• Experience with current-generation console hardware.
• Solid understanding of geometric algorithms, data structures, and 3D mathematics.
• Experience developing AI systems for games and multi-threaded systems.
• Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine internals, including Blackboards and Smart Objects.
• Creative and strategic thinking to solve technical challenges and innovate.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Mass AI in Unreal 5.
• Knowledge of ECS or Mass Framework.
• Shipped at least one AAA title.
