Job summary

Metropolis in New York seeks a Senior Product Manager, Applied AI to lead internal product strategy and drive AI-enabled transformation across Finance, Operations, and GTM. You’ll work with AI engineers and vendors to turn challenges into scalable internal apps and automation.

You’ll define PRDs, roadmaps, success metrics, and monitor time savings, error reduction, and cost impact while pushing for rapid prototyping and adoption of new tools.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management or technical product leadership experience, with at least 2 years focused on shipping AI-powered applications, LLM implementations, or process automation systems
• Proven track record of driving internal process transformations and building software tools for internal business stakeholders
• Practical understanding of modern AI capabilities, including LLMs, prompt systems, agentic patterns, and RAG architectures
• Hands-on fluency building with AI tools — prompt engineering, AI coding agents, and rapid prototyping

Responsibilities

• Prioritize the internal Applied AI product roadmap, translating ambiguous business challenges into prioritized engineering specifications and AI-first solutions
• Partner with business leaders to map workflows, identify automation leverage points, and drive internal technology adoption
• Collaborate with AI Engineers to design, scope, and deploy internal applications, prompt pipelines, and agentic workflows
• Define requirements, PRDs, and measurable success metrics for transformations
• Lead agile product development cycles with direct feedback from internal users
• Oversee change management to ensure adoption across business units
• Monitor production reliability and overall business value of deployed systems
• Prototype solutions hands-on rather than only writing specs
