Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Principal Design Lead to act as a design facilitator and driver across Vision Setting, AI Incubation, Craft & Systems, and End-to-End Product Quality. You will turn ambiguous problems into momentum and shape AI-native product experiences.

You’ll collaborate with engineers and product leaders, mentor designers, and push the craft bar while maintaining speed. A track record in cross-functional leadership and a portfolio across diverse problem spaces is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on product design experience in enterprise, platform, or complex B2B products.
• Proven track record of guiding ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives to outcomes.
• Fluency with AI as a design material and AI-native design practices.
• Strong facilitation skills to move initiatives without formal authority.
• Excellent executive communication with senior stakeholders.
• Portfolio showing range across problem types and leadership, not just craft output.

Responsibilities

• Flex across Vision Setting, AI Incubation, Craft & Systems, and End-to-End Product Quality based on studio gaps.
• Turn ambiguous ideas into concrete, fast results independently.
• Act as a design facilitator: bring designers, PMs, and engineers into a problem and maintain momentum without a manager.
• Drive AI Incubation projects end to end when needed; shape fast-moving efforts.
• Mentor mid-level designers and raise the craft bar.
• Collaborate with engineering to push feasible solutions within constraints.
• Represent design direction in cross-functional conversations with product and engineering leaders.
• Use AI-powered prototyping tools to move from concept to validated direction quickly.
• Advocate for higher craft and quality standards across the Studio.
