Job summary

Epicor is seeking a Principal Product Developer to shape the technical direction of our cloud-native products in a hybrid Austin-based role. You will lead architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and drive AI-enabled capabilities that enhance workflows and customer experiences.

You will partner with product, QA, DevOps, Security, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions, ensure high quality, and accelerate innovation across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with architecture focus
• 4+ years of specialized or industry experience
• Experience building enterprise-scale software products and platforms
• Strong knowledge of scalable architecture and OO design principles
• Experience with AI-enabled development, model integration, and AI services

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, and test complex software systems and enterprise applications
• Provide technical leadership for architecture, system design, code quality, and performance
• Design and support AI-enabled capabilities that improve functionality and automation
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, Security, and Engineering teams to meet release objectives
• Review technical designs and guide major engineering decisions across teams
• Mentor senior developers and contribute to engineering growth
• Recommend and implement engineering best practices to improve quality and productivity
• Evaluate emerging technologies and trends for practical product applications
• Drive modern software engineering approaches for scalability and reliability
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and standards for enterprise software
