Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Sr. Manager, AI Engineer to lead the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team. You will guide cross‑functional engineers, researchers, and PMs to deliver scalable AI platforms and responsible AI governance.

You will shape the technical vision, recruit and mentor top talent, and translate enterprise goals into actionable roadmaps that balance research with production delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/AI/EE/CE or related fields with 6+ years in AI/ML.
• Master's degree in CS/AI/EE/CE or related with 4+ years in AI/ML.
• At least 1 year of people leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross‑functional team to deliver AI‑powered products.
• Oversee design, development, testing, deployment, and support AI software components.
• Make build‑vs‑buy decisions across Open Source and SaaS AI technologies.
• Invent foundation model optimization techniques to improve performance, cost and latency.
• Contribute to the long‑term roadmap of foundational AI systems at Capital One.
