Job summary

EY is seeking an AI Systems Engineer to build and operate the foundational cloud-native substrate powering EY’s AI-native platform. You will own the infra stack from bare-metal to Kubernetes at scale, ensuring reliability, portability, and compliance across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped targets.

You’ll lead infrastructure management, cluster lifecycle, GPU provisioning, and secure execution environments while collaborating with security and product teams to deliver a robust, scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or related field.
• 8+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes distributions (RKE2, EKS/AKS/GKE, K3s).
• Experience with bare-metal, cloud, hybrid, on-prem, air-gapped deployments.
• Strong cluster networking and multi-tenancy isolation.
• Experience with GPU infrastructure (NVAIE/DCGM).
• IaC and GitOps tooling (Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm, ArgoCD, Crossplane).
• Regulatory/compliance experience and security focus.
• Ability to collaborate with security, architecture, product, and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the cluster & cloud-native platform across compute, Kubernetes, and scheduling.
• Manage Ubuntu/OS, BMC/bare-metal, DPU architecture, and NVAIE.
• Stand up EY Agentic AI environments across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped targets.
• Deliver platform capabilities such as Infrastructure Management, Kubernetes & Scheduling.
• Own backup, disaster recovery, and cross-environment replication.
• Ensure the substrate is modular and swappable with minimal vendor lock-in.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD and GitOps to ensure reproducible environments.
