Job summary

EY seeks an experienced AI Systems Engineer to build and operate EY’s foundational substrate powering an AI-native platform. You’ll own the cloud-native platform and infrastructure across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped environments, delivering a portable, reliable substrate for Agentic AI workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure and Kubernetes environments.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes distributions and full cluster lifecycle management.
• Deep experience with bare-metal, cloud, hybrid, on-prem, and air-gapped deployment models.
• Strong grounding in cluster networking (Cilium/CNI), storage, and multi-tenancy isolation.
• Experience with GPU infrastructure and scheduling (NVAIE/DCGM).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps tooling (Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm, ArgoCD, Crossplane).
• Proven track record operating production infrastructure under compliance, security, or regulatory constraints.

Responsibilities

• Own the cluster & cloud-native platform: Kubernetes, multi-tenancy, and distributed compute.
• Manage infrastructure foundation: Ubuntu/OS, BMC/bare-metal, DPU, NVAIE, ensuring production-readiness.
• Stand up EY Agentic AI environments across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped deployment modes.
• Deliver platform capabilities such as Infrastructure Management, Kubernetes, and Cluster Fabric Management.
• Own cluster lifecycle, autoscaling, GPU pooling, and multi-tenancy boundaries for isolated capacity.
• Oversee secure execution/inference with sandboxed execution for safety.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD/CV, IaC, GitOps to ensure reproducibility.
• Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and cross-environment replication for high availability.
