Job summary

EY seeks an AI Systems Engineer to build and operate the foundational substrate powering EY’s AI-native platform. You’ll own the cloud-native stack from bare-metal to Kubernetes, manage multi-tenant environments, and ensure portability and reliability across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped targets.

You’ll lead infrastructure-as-code, platform engineering, and secure execution for AI workloads, collaborating with security, architecture, and delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure and large-scale Kubernetes.
• Hands-on with multiple Kubernetes distributions and full cluster lifecycle.
• Deep experience with bare-metal, cloud, hybrid and air-gapped deployment models.
• Strong grounding in cluster networking, storage, and multi-tenancy isolation.
• Experience with GPU infrastructure and scheduling (NVAIE/DCGM).
• Experience with IaC and GitOps tooling (Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm, ArgoCD, Crossplane).
• Proven track record in compliant, secure production infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own the cluster & cloud-native platform: compute, Kubernetes, scheduling, multi-tenancy and distributed compute.
• Manage infrastructure foundation: Ubuntu/OS, bare-metal, DPU, and NVAIE for GPU workloads.
• Stand up EY Agentic AI environments across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped modes.
• Deliver platform capabilities for infrastructure management, Kubernetes, and cluster fabric.
• Own cluster lifecycle, autoscaling, GPU pooling, and tenancy boundaries.
• Ensure secure execution and inference with sandboxing and NVIDIA tools.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD, IaC, and GitOps for reproducible environments.
• Maintain backup, DR, cross-environment replication, patching, and supply-chain hygiene.
• Keep substrate modular to minimize vendor lock-in while preserving contracts.
