Job summary

Socket.dev in Seattle, WA is seeking a Senior Software Development Manager to lead the Agent Intelligence Platform team within Quick Engineering, the organization behind Amazon Quick. You will own memory, knowledge graph, sessions, and the runtime primitives that give the agent context and reasoning capabilities.

As SSDM, you will set the technical vision for these systems, drive reliability and latency at scale, and build new experiences that help users accomplish more with Quick every day.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field.
• Experience hiring, developing and promoting engineering talent.
• Experience with very large distributed systems.
• Experience managing teams of 10+ engineers across multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical roadmap for memory, knowledge graph, and session infrastructure.
• Define best-in-class memory and retrieval approaches; drive innovation.
• Partner with science to co-develop novel algorithms for memory and retrieval.
• Mine user feedback and telemetry to improve recall and session continuity.
• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team.
• Maintain services with reliability, latency and scalability; own on-call.
• Ship new user-facing capabilities powered by the platform.
• Align priorities across engineering, product, design, and science.
