Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, AI Engineer to lead AI-powered platform services across Guardrails, Evaluation, and Gen AI. This role partners with engineers, researchers, PMs, and product teams to design, deploy, and optimize scalable AI systems for banking applications.

You will mentor and develop teams, drive architectural decisions, and shape the long-term AI roadmap while delivering responsible, high-impact solutions for customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/AI/EE/CE with relevant experience
• At least 1 year of people leadership experience
• 3 years of experience managing and leading an engineering team (preferred)
• 6 years of experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Deliver AI-powered products with cross-functional teams
• Oversee design, development, testing, deployment, and support of AI software components
• Make build-vs-buy decisions across Open Source and SaaS AI technologies
• Invent and introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques for production
• Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of AI systems
• Foster a culture of learning and professional development
