Job summary

Verizon is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive delivery of two foundational pillars of the enterprise AI Platform: the Adaptive Intelligence Gateway and the Agent Development Lifecycle. You will manage a 3-5 engineer team, own the roadmap, and translate architecture into production-grade services used by thousands of Verizon developers.

Requirements include 8+ years of relevant engineering leadership, production Kubernetes, multi-cloud experience (GCP/AWS), and strong AI/ML

Qualifications

Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work or military experience.
Experience running Kubernetes at production scale.
Experience operating in multi-cloud environments (GCP and AWS).
Experience with AI/ML infrastructure: model serving, inference optimization, and LLMOps.
Experience building developer platforms: SDKs, CLIs, developer portals, or self-service onboarding.
Experience with FinOps or cost allocation models (chargeback, budget enforcement, usage attribution).

Responsibilities

Own AI Gateway engineering, design and deliver intelligent model routing with multi-provider failover across BU lines.
Deliver Agent Development Lifecycle components, including registry and SDKs with guardrails.
Maintain SLA targets: high uptime, low latency, and rapid agent deployment times.
Drive platform consolidation and real-time cost attribution across 8+ BUs.
Onboard 5+ BU teams within 6 months and establish engineering cadence with key stakeholders.
Lead a 3-5 person team of platform engineers, reviewing designs and removing blockers.
