Job summary

Verizon is seeking an AI Engineer - Platform Engineering to drive production AI services across multi-cloud environments. You will own end-to-end lifecycle, from design to deployment and on-call, building model routing, the Verizon Agent SDK, and MCP integrations.

Expect heavy focus on reliability, IaC, and DevSecOps in a hybrid work setting. You will collaborate on scalable, secure architectures, Kubernetes-based deployments, and cost-aware routing across Google Vertex, AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four+ years of work experience.
• Four+ years of relevant experience in AI infra or production systems.
• Experience with Python programming and production-grade code.
• Experience with Kubernetes deployments, services, and ingress.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP and/or AWS).
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis in production.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Docker).
• Experience with API design (REST/gRPC, JWT/OAuth2, rate limiting).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end lifecycle of production AI services and platform components.
• Build and improve AI gateway routing across multiple providers and models.
• Maintain platform reliability, SLOs, alerting, and incident response.
• Write IaC for multi-cloud Kubernetes provisioning (GCP/AWS).
• Develop DevSecOps pipelines and continuous evaluation tooling.
