Job summary

Verizon is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive the Adaptive Intelligence Gateway and the Agent Development Lifecycle. You will manage a 3-5 person team and translate complex platform architecture into production-grade services powering thousands of developers.

You will own the roadmap, enforce security (SPIFFE/SPIRE), and deliver DX tooling (SDKs, DevSecOps) with measurable SLAs and efficiency improvements across multiple business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience; technical leadership experience.
• Eight or more years of relevant experience; leadership of software/platform engineers.
• Experience running Kubernetes at production scale and multi-cloud environments (GCP/AWS).
• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, model serving, and LLMOps.
• Experience building developer platforms (SDKs/CLIs) and self-service onboarding.
• Experience with FinOps or cost allocation models.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering roadmap for AI Gateway and the Agent Development Lifecycle.
• Lead a team of 3-5 platform engineers; review designs and remove blockers.
• Deliver scalable, production-grade services on Kubernetes/Istio; ensure security and compliance.
• Drive cost control and consolidation of 8+ BU AI integrations onto one gateway.
• Onboard 5+ BU teams within 6 months; establish engineering operating cadence.
• Maintain high SLA targets and improve latency and MTTR metrics.
