Job summary

General Motors is seeking an experienced AI Platform Engineer to own the end-to-end transformation of business workflows using AI. Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering or platform architecture experience in complex environments.
• Proven experience with GCP-based transformations and enterprise workflow modernization.
• Experience modernizing legacy workflows into API-driven, event-based, or agent-assisted apps.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/SE/IS.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end transformation of business workflows using AI.
• Design secure, reusable enterprise-grade AI solutions and define platform standards.
• Partner with engineering, product, and business teams to scale AI adoption.
• Build backend services in Python/Node.js and deploy cloud-native services on GCP.
• Develop data pipelines to migrate legacy workflows into native GCP environments.
• Implement security using IAM, OAuth2, and enterprise access controls.
• Create documentation, API specs, blueprint repos, and runbooks.
• Lead code reviews to maintain quality and architecture alignment.
