Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking an experienced engineer to drive quality and development excellence across the software lifecycle, from design to automated testing and deployment. You will build features with reliability, scalability, and performance in mind for the AI SearchUX team on the ServiceNow cloud platform.

You will own architecture and implementation, contribute to new products, and ensure the UI and APIs support AI-driven capabilities with strong QA and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar OO languages.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks (Angular/React/Vue).
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (JUnit/Selenium) and CI/CD.
• Understanding software quality, reliability, and production readiness.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and optimize performance.
• Experience with AI-powered tools/workflows and data validation.

Responsibilities

• Own code from design to delivery with test automation.
• Create and maintain tests, scripts, and tooling for QA.
• Work with QA frameworks and tools (Java, Jenkins, Playwright, Selenium).
• Develop manual test plans and end-to-end test cases.
• Improve QA processes and ensure test results are published.
• Support multiple upgrade paths for broader testing efforts.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and agile ceremonies.
• Participate in cross-team discussions and define acceptance criteria.
