Job summary

Vizient is seeking a senior backend engineer to design and build scalable cloud-based platforms powering AI/ML applications. You will collaborate with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to productionise LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic AI workflows.

You will leverage Pulumi/Terraform, CI/CD, containers, and observability practices to deliver reliable, secure platforms and define reusable patterns across the AI/ML team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience required.
• Strong Python development experience building production backend services and APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Pulumi, Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and cloud deployment practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and platform components for AI/ML applications.
• Build scalable cloud infrastructure using Pulumi and IaC practices; develop CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments.
• Support production deployment of ML models, LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic AI systems; collaborate with engineers to productionize models and pipelines.
• Enhance observability through monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and incident management.
