Job summary

Vizient is seeking a senior backend engineer to design and build scalable backend services, APIs, and platform components powering AI/ML applications.

You will collaborate with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to productionize LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows using Pulumi, Terraform, and modern cloud-native patterns. Strong Python, CI/CD, observability, and secure, maintainable systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience building production backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and serverless architectures.
• Knowledge of observability tools, monitoring, logging, tracing, and incident management.
• Familiarity with ML/AI systems, model serving, LLM applications, and RAG workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and platform components.
• Build scalable cloud infrastructure using Pulumi and IaC practices; develop CI/CD pipelines.
• Support production deployment of ML models, LLM applications, and data workflows.
• Enhance observability, logging, tracing, and incident management for reliability.
• Define reusable platform patterns and engineering workflows for productivity.
