MaintainX is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to design and operate scalable backend services for its AI platform. You will build internal APIs, integrate LLM workflows, and own production reliability with strong observability and incident response.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Python backend development, experience shipping AI-powered systems, and comfort across services, data, and infrastructure. Hybrid work in the SF area is supported with cloud/IaC expertise.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in Python backend development and systems design.
• Experience shipping AI-powered or LLM-integrated backend systems.
• Comfort working across services, data, infrastructure and AI tooling.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) and IaC (Terraform/Pulumi).
• Experience with distributed systems and asynchronous processing.
• Familiarity with AI or data-heavy services where reliability and cost matter at scale.

Aufgaben

• Build and operate scalable backend services and internal APIs for the AI platform.
• Integrate LLMs and AI tool execution into reliable, production-ready workflows.
• Own production reliability for AI platform infrastructure through observability, alerting, and incident response.
• Improve performance and cost efficiency of AI runtimes through profiling, tuning, and capacity planning.
• Contribute to shared infra: CI/CD, observability, deployments
