Job summary
Mayo Clinic is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for AI Platform Engineering to bridge high-scale systems architecture with frontier AI. You will help design and operate the Model & Agent Runtimes across a hybrid-cloud footprint, ensuring scalable, secure, and governed AI capabilities through MLOps practices.
You will lead the development of scalable back-end systems, focusing on containerization, orchestration, and observability while collaborating with cross-functional AI teams to accelerate
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with 5 years of experience OR Associate’s degree with 7 years of experience.
- Strong programming background, preferably Python, and knowledge of software development lifecycle and modern frameworks.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and observability practices in distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Architect high-performance hosting environments for models and autonomous agents.
- Scale multi-tenant hybrid-cloud infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Implement real-time monitoring, metrics, tracing, and automated evaluation in production.
- Participate in rotational platform operations ensuring reliability and uptime.
- Collaborate with AI teams to reduce friction and accelerate AI-driven value delivery.
