Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build an enterprise AI platform that enables engineering and business teams to work with company knowledge and complex workflows. This hands-on role spans AI, backend, UI, and Kubernetes workloads.

You’ll own features end-to-end, collaborate with platform and security teams, and drive production delivery from design through release, applying strong software practices and clear communication across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, building, and maintaining production applications or services with ownership of features.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience deploying and troubleshooting containerized apps.
• Strong programming in Python or TypeScript; ability to contribute across Python services and TS/React apps.
• Experience integrating LLMs or agent workflows into applications and evaluating behavior.

Responsabilités

• Own features and services through production, design and implement changes across AI, backend, data, and UI components.
• Build and evaluate AI workflows, integrate language models, retrieval, and enterprise tools.
• Collaborate with domain experts to define success metrics and guide prototypes through architecture review and delivery.
• Work with Kubernetes to deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize containerized workloads and shared infrastructure.
• Review code for correctness, security, and reliability; trace changes across components and tests.
