Job summary

Vanta is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, AI Platform to build, operate, and improve reusable AI platform capabilities. You will own the runtime for agentic workflows, strengthen tool design and context management, and partner with product teams to ship reliable, scalable AI features.

You’ll work on durable execution, model integrations, evaluation tools, and end-to-end platform ownership across reliability, observability, and data security. Remote-friendly US-based role.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience shipping LLM-powered products or agentic workflows.
• Experience with durable execution platforms and retries.
• Ability to translate platform decisions into developer outcomes.
• Effective communication across engineering and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Build shared SDKs, APIs, and infrastructure for AI features and agentic workflows.
• Integrate durable execution infra for long-running agent workflows incl. checkpointing.
• Evolve the agent harness runtime for tool calling, context, memory and orchestration.
• Develop evaluation and debugging tools to turn failures into improvements.
• Improve model integrations, retrieval, and context delivery.
• Own platform capabilities through rollout, reliability, observability and security.
• Partner with product teams to prototype solutions and drive adoption.
