Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to advance the company’s AI/ML platform from prototype to production.

The role focuses on building scalable services for model deployment, governance, and observability, with hands-on work on GPU-enabled infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong Python, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability skills, with experience in production ML workloads and a proven ability to partner across teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of ML engineering, MLOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, or related experience.
• Strong Python and experience with containers, Kubernetes, APIs, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and observability.
• Experience deploying and operating ML or generative AI workloads in production.

Responsibilities

• Engineer model deployment, inference, serving, gateway, evaluation, monitoring, registry, and lifecycle capabilities.
• Build reusable platform services for RAG, embeddings, vector search, agents, secrets, and observability.
• Automate environments, deployments, testing, rollback, and infrastructure using CI/CD and IaC.
• Support hybrid cloud and on-prem AI infrastructure including GPU compute, containers, networking, and capacity management.
• Establish AI platform reliability, security, performance, and FinOps practices.
