D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an AI Solution Architect to define how modern data and AI capabilities come together in secure, scalable, and reusable solutions.

You will translate business problems into architecture patterns, guiding design decisions and connecting data, applications, integration, security, and AI services into production-ready architectures. The role blends strategy, architecture, and hands-on implementation, focusing on solution-level architecture for products and use cases,

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of solution architecture, data architecture, software engineering, data engineering, or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of modern data platforms, APIs/integration, cloud architecture, AI/ML and generative AI patterns, security, and observability.
• Experience designing production solutions that span multiple systems and teams.
• Strong communication and ability to explain architecture to business and technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership, communicate clearly, and deliver results in a evolving environment.
• Ability to build trusted relationships across the organization, balancing standards with business needs.

Responsabilidades

• Translate business and product requirements into end-to-end solution architectures covering data, AI, APIs, applications, identity, security, observability, and support.
• Define domain data models, data flows, integration patterns, semantic access, RAG/knowledge patterns, and AI service interactions.
• Ensure priority solutions align to enterprise reference architectures while documenting justified exceptions and local configuration needs.
• Lead technical design sessions and architecture reviews with engineering, platform, security, governance, vendors, and SMEs.
• Evaluate solution alternatives and communicate tradeoffs in speed, complexity, cost, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Represent the function in cross-functional discovery, architecture, governance, operational-readiness, and continuous-improvement activities.
• Stay current on relevant data, AI, digital, software, and industry practices and apply new capabilities when they create value.
• Identify, shape, and pilot new opportunities where data, AI, and digital capabilities create business value; operate with an owner’s mindset.
• Conduct all business professionally and ethically; travel overnight as needed.
