Job summary
Amazon in Jersey City is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to drive the technical direction of the Catalog & Events services within Workshop Studio. You will own design decisions for AI-powered features and scale multi-tenant APIs that provision sandbox environments for AWS Marketplace and Builder Center.
You will mentor backend and frontend engineers, lead architectural reviews, and ensure production health with on-call rotations and incident response across Go, Python Lambdas,
Qualifications
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
- 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
- 4+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Agentic AI Systems: Build AI-powered capabilities on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore such as content discovery, adaptive participant guidance, automated session summaries with lead scoring, agent-assisted authoring, and simulated participant playthroughs for content validation.
