Nordstrom is seeking a Senior Engineer 2 in Seattle, WA to lead the development of the AI Agentic Platform. In this role, you will design systems, mentor junior engineers, and ensure the quality of technology implementations across teams.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in software engineering, particularly with AI systems and multiple programming languages. You will drive technical discussions and design reviews while contributing to the development of AI features for Nordstrom.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience working with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools like GitLab.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core AI Agentic Platform capabilities.
• Own end-to-end solution design for platform components.
• Apply AI fluency to integrate LLM APIs.
• Lead design and code reviews across the team.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.
