Job summary

ABC Fitness is building an intelligent platform for the fitness industry, embedding AI into products, workflows, and decision points used daily. This hands-on software engineering role focuses on internal AI-enabled development tools, reusable APIs, and durable AI workflow infrastructure that support engineering teams.

You’ll collaborate across engineering, platform, security, and product to remove friction, improve reliability, and scale AI across the company.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals across backend systems and APIs.
• Experience building tools for engineers to improve velocity and reliability.
• Experience building or integrating AI/LLM-powered systems and AI workflows.
• Knowledge of agentic software delivery patterns and durable orchestration.
• Platform thinking with reusable abstractions and long-term adoption.
• Workflow and orchestration expertise across multi-step systems.
• Focus on reliability, observability, security, cost, and maintainability.
• Bias toward enabling other engineers to move faster and better.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered internal development tools.
• Design and ship internal software platforms for engineering teams.
• Create reusable tools, APIs, workflows to adopt AI patterns.
• Connect events from CI/CD and other systems into a coherent view of changes.
• Design durable AI workflow infrastructure with human-in-the-loop pauses.
• Ensure platforms are production-ready, observable, and cost-aware.
• Define patterns and best practices for safe AI usage.
• Collaborate with engineering, platform, security, and product teams.
