Job summary

Built is the AI-first platform transforming real estate and construction finance. As a Senior Innovation Engineer on the Marketplace team, you will design durable platform primitives, ship prototypes with real customers, and refine AI-native workflows.

This hands-on role offers mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to influence product direction. The position is based in Nashville with travel to the Nashville office a couple of times per year.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in software engineering with strong backend/distributed-systems fundamentals.
• Experience shipping a technical MVP or prototype to a customer-testable state in a fast-iteration environment.
• Some experience building with or integrating LLM providers (Claude, Gemini, OpenAI) and/or document-extraction tooling, or strong aptitude to grow into it quickly.

Responsibilities

• Platform primitives: design and build durable, reusable services for Marketplace products using microservices and async workflows.
• New product bets: build prototypes and MVPs tested with real customers and iterate weekly.
• Adoption & optimization: improve workflows and usability on live products.
