Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to own the infrastructure, platform, and production systems underpinning Sponsored Products Autonomous Campaigns. You will design, build, and scale core services for agent orchestration, evaluation pipelines, model serving, and monitoring, collaborating with scientists and engineers to translate prototypes into reliable production systems.

Qualifications

5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming experience in at least one language.
5+ years of leading design or architecture of systems.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
Experience with AI/ML technologies.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering strategy and roadmap for Sponsored Products Autonomous Campaigns.
Design and implement scalable architecture for agent orchestration and state management.
Build scalable data and tool registry.
Construct evaluation pipelines to assess agent reasoning, performance, and safety.
Integrate tuning pipelines and provide abstractions for scientists to plug in models.
Implement observability, logging, metrics, alerting, tracing, and drift detection.
Ensure resilience, auto-scaling, batching, caching, and SLA compliance.
Prototype new designs and patterns for streaming inference and reasoning chains.
Collaborate in design reviews and cross-team architecture alignment.
