Job summary

The Gates Foundation is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to join the Productivity & Collaboration team within Global Technology Operations. You will design, build, govern, and operate AI-powered experiences across Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and Azure AI, delivering secure, scalable AI solutions for staff productivity.

You will partner with TPMs, platform engineers, security, privacy, and Legal teams to shape governance, data readiness, and cost management while

Qualifications

10+ years of AI, software, cloud, or platform engineering experience.
Hands-on with enterprise AI solutions, LLMs, retrieval-Augmented generation, and agents.
Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and related cloud tech.

Responsibilities

Design, build, integrate, govern, and operate AI-powered experiences across 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Azure AI.
Define engineering standards, governance, and lifecycle management for agents and environments.
Create reusable patterns, runbooks, and documentation for scalable AI platform practice.
Partner with security, privacy, legal, and enterprise teams to ensure compliant AI deployments.
Lead cross-functional delivery and translate business needs into secure, scalable solutions.
