Job summary

Motive aims to empower operators with safer, more productive tools. This Senior Engineer role focuses on shipping production software and AI systems on secure, cost-disciplined cloud infrastructure.

You will design services, operate AI pipelines, and manage cloud spend while collaborating with product and business stakeholders. You will own the full lifecycle, build pipelines, and help reduce unit costs through optimized hardware and software choices, while ensuring reliability and security

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development, owning production systems.
• Shipped backend services and production AI/ML (LLMs, RAG, serving).
• Strong Python plus a second stack; PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent serving.
• AWS or GCP with Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD.
• Proven ability to govern cloud/AI spend and communicate tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship production services, APIs, and user-facing interfaces where needed.
• Own the full lifecycle: implementation, tests, code review, CI/CD, deploy, maintenance.
• Operate production AI systems and improve inference, evaluation, and governance.
