Job summary

Francisco Partners is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to design, build, and evolve a scalable cloud platform for AI-powered development. You will work with software engineers, architects, and DevOps to improve developer productivity and platform reliability.

Responsibilities include IaC, cloud management across AWS/Azure/GCP, and building CI/CD pipelines with strong security and observability. Occasional travel and in-person interviews are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of software, platform, DevOps, or cloud engineering experience.
• Strong experience with one or more major cloud providers (AWS preferred).
• Experience building Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
• Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash scripting.
• Hands-on CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Strong networking, cloud security, Linux, and platform operations knowledge.
• Observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable, secure cloud platform infrastructure.
• Develop IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Manage AWS/Azure/GCP environments for performance and cost efficiency.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering to enhance platform capabilities.
• Monitor health, troubleshoot issues, and drive improvements.
• Enforce security best practices across infrastructure and pipelines.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools to accelerate infrastructure work, ensuring quality and security.
• Support AI agent capabilities, governance, and model access controls.
• Extend observability and auditing for AI-driven workflows.
