Job summary

XU Group GmbH is seeking a senior platform engineer to own and evolve the AI-powered platform used by anzel agents. You’ll shape architecture, tooling, and secure, scalable production systems, working closely with customers and a small, senior team.

You’ll advance reliability, data isolation, and end-to-end quality, implementing robust workflows and safe agent tooling. The role blends startup pace with a strong company backing and real impact on sports business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years building and running production software, with real backend depth.
• APIs, a relational database, queues, and long running workflows.
• Language model products that real users relied on, and lessons from failures.
• Retrieval-based systems and the judgment to pick the right tool for the job.
• Evaluations showing what changed actually helped, not just passing tests.
• Professional English; German is a plus.
• Something you've built that you can show us.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform architecture and tooling for the AI agents used by customers.
• Ensure data isolation, security, compliance, and auditable actions.
• Advance reliability, observability, and end-to-end quality in the pipeline.
• Lead coding agents and multiple concurrent projects without monoliths.
• Collaborate with customers, engineers, and product teams to shape decisions.
