Job summary

Palo Alto Networks, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Staff Software Engineer (AI Platform) to design, architect, and build intelligent software applications, agentic workflows, and production-ready LLM integrations across our product ecosystem.

This role will bridge state-of-the-art AI model capabilities with scalable application environments. You will engineer autonomous agents, implement predictive analytics, and partner with Core AI/ML teams to deliver high-availability services.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software/ platform engineering or distributed systems experience.
• 2+ years building AI software, integrating LLMs, or predictive analytics in production.
• Proven track record with LLM APIs & SDKs and practical prompt engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in Python, TypeScript (Node.js) or Go.
• Deep understanding of architecture, asynchronous programming and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Architect AI-Driven Systems: design and build production-grade apps, agentic workflows, and LLM integrations.
• Engineer Autonomous Agents: develop self-executing agents to automate tasks and workflows.
• Integrate Predictive Analytics: leverage ML models to analyze performance and spend in real time.
• Build Observability & Security Tools: AI-driven automation for auditing and patching via LLMs.
• Bridge AI & Platform Architecture: collaborate with Core AI/ML teams for scalable services.
• Design RCA Workflows: build internal AI agents and diagnostic tools for automated RCA.
